Our Mission: Supporting Seniors in Living Their Lives Fully
Verdaoi was founded on the understanding that moving to a senior residence is a significant life transition. We strive to make this change as comfortable and positive as possible.
Return HomeAbout Verdaoi
Verdaoi opened in January 2018 with a simple vision: create a place where seniors could continue living with dignity, making their own choices, and enjoying daily life in a supportive environment. The founders, having watched their own parents navigate this stage of life, recognized the need for a residence that felt like home rather than an institution.
From the beginning, we focused on integrating natural spaces into daily living. Our location in Kuala Lumpur was chosen specifically for its access to garden areas and peaceful surroundings. We believe that connection to nature contributes to wellbeing, so outdoor spaces are woven throughout the property rather than being an afterthought.
The approach at Verdaoi centers on supporting residents in maintaining their independence. Staff members are trained to provide help where needed while encouraging individuals to continue doing what they can manage comfortably. This might seem like a small detail, but it makes a significant difference in how residents experience their days.
We recognize that choosing a residence for a family member is rarely easy. Families are entrusting us with the care of someone they love. Our commitment is to honor that trust through consistent, respectful care that sees each resident as an individual with their own preferences, routines, and stories.
Over the years since opening, we have refined our programs based on feedback from residents and families. The three residence levels emerged from listening to what different individuals needed. Some residents want minimal support and value independence above all. Others appreciate more comprehensive help. We believe offering options allows families to find the right fit.
Today, Verdaoi serves as home to residents from various backgrounds. What they share is a desire for comfortable living in a setting that respects their autonomy while providing support when needed. We continue working to create an environment where seniors can experience this balance.

Privacy and Dignity
Residents maintain control over their personal space and daily routines. Staff knock before entering accommodations and respect individual preferences about when and how to receive assistance.
Wellness Focus
Our approach supports physical, social, and emotional wellbeing through varied activities, nutritious food, and opportunities for connection. Participation is always optional based on individual interest.
Food Quality
Meals are prepared fresh daily using quality ingredients. Kitchen staff accommodate cultural preferences, dietary requirements, and personal tastes, understanding that food is more than nutrition.
Family Communication
We welcome family involvement and maintain open communication. Regular updates keep families informed, and we encourage visits, calls, and participation in planning.
Staff Training
Team members receive continuous training in respectful care practices, communication skills, and understanding the aging experience. We invest in developing capable, compassionate staff.
Why Families Choose Verdaoi
Families often tell us they appreciate the balance we maintain between providing support and respecting independence. This comes from understanding that moving to a senior residence represents a significant life change, and our role is to make that transition as comfortable as possible while helping residents maintain their sense of self.
The garden environment at Verdaoi offers residents access to outdoor spaces integrated into daily life. Many find these areas restorative, whether spending quiet time in nature, participating in gardening activities, or simply enjoying fresh air. This connection to natural surroundings differentiates our setting from more institutional environments.
Our staff members understand their role extends beyond completing tasks. Building relationships with residents allows us to provide care that feels natural and respectful rather than clinical. When staff members know someone's preferences, routines, and interests, they can offer support in ways that honor individual dignity.
The three residence levels emerged from recognizing that different individuals have different needs. Some residents value minimal support and maximum independence. Others feel more comfortable with comprehensive assistance. This flexibility allows families to select an option that aligns with their loved one's current situation and preferences.
Located in Kuala Lumpur, Verdaoi provides families with accessible visiting opportunities. We welcome family involvement and encourage regular connection between residents and their loved ones. This ongoing family presence contributes to resident wellbeing and helps us understand individual needs more fully.
